At TFW Mahopac I often hear complaints from a lot of my members in regards to their significant others.

I’m trying to eat healthy but he eats whatever he wants and it’s tough to get on the same page!

OR,  I can never workout with my husband, he has his routine, he does his own thing and thats pretty much it.

Maybe you’re the person that is trying to stay away from junk food but you partner continues to keep those tempting foods in the house.

See, If you are an extremely active person then you know very well how tough it can be living with a LAZY partner. Your willpower deteriorates when faced with his or her lazy ways and the next thing you know, it’s been almost a week since you last hit the gym.

We pursue fitness and healthy eating to better ourselves.

We pursue relationships to better each other.

But if you and your partner don’t see eye to eye in terms of fitness and health it can be a challenging relationship and may hold you back from reaching your fitness goals.

I feel that it’s best to not set expectations, but instead think of healthy living as an adventure or a journey. There will always be challenges. When it comes down to it, each individual needs to be driven and committed to health and wellness in order to make true change. It is an awesome bonus, however, when you and your partner can share a passion for exercise, healthy eating, and overall wellness.
