Day #12 of The 12 Fitness Days of Christmas

by | Dec 25, 2015 | Fitness, Uncategorized

We’ve reached Christmas!

1. Cut out junk food – FAST Food: Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Burger King, potato chips, crackers, Doritos etc… NO fast food!

Sorry I got a little emotional about junk food.

But it’s true!

We all know it’s terrible for us, yet you drive by McDonalds at 7pm on any given night and there’s a line of cars at the drive through waiting to order a future health problem in a box!

2. Start making more smoothies – If you’re looking to sip away the pounds, juice cleanses may not be the best idea. Smoothies, however, could be your best-kept weight-loss secret: the blended beverage offers you tons of nutrition, as well as protein and fiber to help keep you full until your next meal. Whipping up a smoothie for breakfast will further help you rev up your metabolism first thing in the morning, and its quick and easy.

3. Eat local food – Visit farmers markets for your produce and  even meat in some cases. You can enjoy the freshest, local produce in the area, and there’s plenty of veggies and fruits to choose from. This is a great way to eat organically as well as saving money.

4. Be AWESOME – Remember, health and fitness should make your life more awesome. It should make you feel empowered. It should decrease your stress. If you’re not able to say those things are true for you, then choose a different path. Get back to the basics and simplify your approach so you can quickly experience the many benefits strength training and simple nutrition guidelines have to offer. In my experience, most people practice nutrition and fitness regimens that are too complicated and stressful, or they’re just not certain what to do.

Just relax be the best version of you you can be and get started!

MERRY CHRISTMAS…and a HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
